Simply Country Interiors – Rebecca Hadnett

Hello, welcome to simply country Interiors, where you will find a collection of vintage and antique pieces for the home and garden.

My stock is an eclectic mix of mostly English and French rustic country furniture, kitchenalia, paintings, needlework  samplers, toys, folk art, textiles and lots more. I am always searching for things that have a story to tell, pieces that bear the marks of their past which make them unique, evocative and beautiful.

My passion for antiques developed as a child in the 70s. My mother used to take me along with her on endless bargain hunting trips around junk and antique shops, searching for furniture and other items to renovate for our home. I fondly remember spending hours rubbing down old pine furniture to bring it back to life. Then when I left and moved into a flat in Tunbridge Wells in my early 20s, I went to my first Antiques auction and managed to furnish my entire flat for next to nothing. That was It, I’d really caught he recycling bug!

After many years of working in interiors for a custom-made sofa company, and then taking a break to look after my children, I rented a space in an antique centre, and that is where Simply Country Interiors was born, and 16 years on I’m still excited to be selling antiques.
